From three-time FFF alumnus Tom Putnam (“Bad Dog,” FFF 2017) and based on the book Where Bigfoot Walks: Crossing the Dark Divide by one of America’s foremost nature writers, The Dark Divide tells the story of Robert Pyle—a butterfly/moth expert—and his month-long journey through America’s largest undeveloped wilderness as he struggles to come to terms with the death of his wife. A bearded and bespectacled David Cross (Arrested Development) turns in a career-redefining performance as Pyle, delivering warmth and earnestness, pathos and passion, all punctuated by a generous amount of unexpected humor. With a supporting cast that includes Debra Messing (Will & Grace), David Koechner (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy), and Gary Farmer (Smoke Signals), The Dark Divide isn’t quite like anything you’ve seen before—a mix of comedy, drama, adventure, science fiction, and nature film. A coming-of-middle-age story about what it means to take control of your life and your future.
