Genevieve (Alexandra Pica) attempts to navigate her life with dissociative identity disorder but begins to see flashbacks of memories she had no part in creating. Nervous about how dangerous she may be becoming, she descends further into psychological hallucinations as she approaches the origin of her trauma. Created as part of the University of Central Florida’s Master of Fine Arts program, and utilizing a predominantly female cast and crew, Brouhaha Film and Video Showcase alumna writer/director/cinematographer Sarah Tice (“Oh Woman”) has crafted a tense and visually arresting debut feature that deconstructs how the mind actively deals with trauma. Anchored by Alexandra Pica’s captivating central performance, DID I? succeeds in exploring the forged realities that the mind creates in order to protect the individual from facing the most damaging events in their lives.
