Is there life out there? Finding an Earth-like, habitable planet is the mission of Isaac Bruno (Patrick J. Adams, Suits), an obsessive and literal-minded professor. With Bruno’s personal and professional life in disarray, he seeks out a research assistant and finds an unlikely and unorthodox companion in Clara (Troian Bellisario, Pretty Little Liars). While Clara and Bruno race to find signs of life in the night sky, it is Clara’s open mindedness that leads to more meaningful discoveries closer to home. Clara has all the sensibilities and scientific accessibility of earlier sci-fi winners Contact and Arrival, but leaves behind the big budget Hollywood special effects. Director Akash Sherman presents a grand yet intimate scientific drama that teaches the importance of making contact and will leave the audience fully rewarded with a dramatic finish.
