The Changing Face of Distribution

To VOD or not VOD…that is the question.  With things seemingly changing by the minute in the independent film business, where should a non-mainstream filmmaker turn to get his or her film seen and out there in today’s marketplace?  Join our esteemed panel of industry veterans, including Amanda Lebow, VP of Digital and Ancillary Sales at Oscilloscope Laboratories; Dylan Marchetti, founder of Variance Films; Edward Arentz, Managing Director of Music Box Films; and John Von Thaden, Manager of Acquisitions at Magnolia Pictures, as they discuss concepts such as art houses vs. megaplexes, digital rights, video-on-demand, Netflix, Hulu, iTunes and many other strategies that are paving the way for the deals of the future.  These forward thinkers will lead the way to the light at the end of the specialty distribution tunnel.  Adam Birnbaum, founder and president of the Nova Theatre Circuit and Enzian’s film buyer and first-run films booker, will moderate.
