A Brunch with Cary Elwes, featuring The Princess Bride

DIRECTED BY ROB REINER
USA, 1987, 98 MIN, RATED PG

When a young boy (Fred Savage, TV’s The Wonder Years) becomes sick and needs to stay home from school, his grandfather (Peter Falk, TV’s Columbo) comes over for a visit to cheer him up by reading a story. This story is a tale of romance and adventure.  Princess Buttercup (Robin Wright, Forrest Gump), engaged to the loathsome Prince Humperdinck (Chris Sarandon), is kidnapped and held against her will in order to start a war. It is up to her true love, the dashing Westley (Cary Elwes, Glory), to save her. Along the way Westley encounters many memorable characters played by an all-star cast including Billy Crystal, Mandy Patinkin, Christopher Guest, Wallace Shawn, André the Giant, and Carol Kane.  Rob Reiner (When Harry Met Sally…) directs Oscar® winner William Goldman’s (All the President’s Men) classic script that is a now a pop culture staple.  One of the most beloved films of our time, THE PRINCESS BRIDE is a thrilling, hilarious, and magical take on the basic fairy tale formula that masterfully works as both a spoof and the real deal.  Cary Elwes will be in attendance for a post-film Q&A.

This event is now on stand-by. Since we must reserve an allotment of tickets for our VIP pass holders, we have a limited number of tickets available for general admission. Once those tickets have been sold, a program goes on stand-by until the day of the program.  On the day of the program, we will have a stand-by line at each venue.  15 minutes before the start of the program, we will do a seating assessment to determine if we have any additional tickets available to sell.  We will then sell them to the individuals in line until the venue has reached capacity. You can take your chances, or secure your spot at this unforgettable event with a Platinum Pass or a Movie Star Pass.
