I Am John Wayne

Winner of the Grand Jury Sparky Award for Best Short Film at Slamdance 2012. A young urban cowboy in mourning takes a horse on an adventure through the city streets to Coney Island, where reality catches up with him.

Director Bio:
Christina Choe (“I Am John Wayne”) began her career making documentaries. Her first feature script “Guess Who’s Coming for Kimchee” drew broad attention and resulted in many awards. Her narrative shorts have been selected in many major festivals. She is a recent graduate of the Graduate Film Program at Columbia University for writing/directing, and in development for her first feature.
