Director Morten Tyldum is relentless in this action-packed thriller about a powerful man who steps on the wrong toes. HEADHUNTERS is the most recent product of Yellow Bird Films, whose adaptations of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy brought worldwide fame to the series. Based on Norway’s “Best Novel of 2008” by Jo Nesbø, it’s a surefire way to kick off your action-craving summer movie list. Roger Brown (Askel Hennie) lives a lavish lifestyle with his tall, beautiful, and cultured wife Diana. His crippling Napoleon complex pushes him to risk his love and wealth just to bolster his extravagant home life. A headhunter for Fortune 500 inductees by day and a shrewd art thief by night, Roger eventually crosses paths with an equally ferocious businessman, Clas Greve (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, HBO’s Game of Thrones), who is hell-bent on becoming the new CEO of a prominent technology firm. A tempting secret ignites a game of cat-and-mouse that quickly spirals out of control. Blood spills, and the line between deceit and paranoia blurs as HEADHUNTERS propels itself through one surprising twist after another.
