The Florida Film, Food & Wine Celebration begins Friday, March 23, through Sunday, March 25, in coordination with the opening weekend of the 2007 Florida Film Festival. A Conversation with Eric Schlosser: Fast Food/Slow Food (March 24, 10:00 AM, Enzian) In this intimate conversation author Eric Schlosser investigates hidden realms of American business and culture and their effects on our lives.

Lakeside Progressive Dinner Guests will dine at private homes on the Winter Park Chain of Lakes, featuring heritage foods and hosted by guests Bill Butler, Mary Ann Esposito, Patrick Martins, Sarah Obraitis, Chef Picard, Chef Rujak, and Sommelier Capobianco. Guests will cruise from course to course on guided float boats provided by the Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour.

Ferncreek Garden Project Presentation and Candy Sushi for the Family (March 25, 10:00AM, Enzian Theater) Seven months in the making, our staff, Palmer's Garden & Goods, and Ace Hardware helped Ferncreek elementary students clear and plant a vegetable garden while teaching them the science and nutrition behind fresh food. Afterward, get ready for sticky hands as we learn how to make sushi out of candy! Fun for the whole family!

Gospel Brunch (March 25, 12:00 Noon, Hannibal's/Chez Vincent) Warner Chapel Choir, Chef Vincent Gagliano (Chez Vincent), and Charleston Chef Robert Stehling (Hominy Grill) serve it up at Chez Vincent's and Hannibal's in Winter Park.

This family-friendly morning of fun and excitement won’t soon be forgotten. Join us for a presentation of the Ferncreek Elementary School Garden Project seven months in the making. Our staff and local sponsors Palmer’s Garden & Goods and Ace Hardware helped Ferncreek students, from kindergarten through sixth grade, clear beds and plant a vegetable garden while teaching them the science and nutrition behind fresh food. Ferncreek, located in the heart of the Colonialtown neighborhood in Orlando, services 400 economically and ethnically diverse students and has been an “A” rated school for the past two years. After meeting the students and learning about the project, get ready for sticky hands as we learn how to make sushi out of candy! Fun for the whole family!

A teacher clashing with students; a secret at Christmas; a French Jewish girl questioning her traditions; a Raging Bull homage with an Indian mother making samosas into an art form; a troubled Dutch woman pondering life in a Chinese restaurant; a bitter rivalry in a small town bake-off; and two young lovers in 1950s Italy are the subjects of this rare collection of films to be savored.
