Presidential Ballroom at Church Street Station

Without a doubt, the now legendary Florida Film Festival Gala climaxes ten days of films and events. This year the Gala undergoes an exciting evolution--new location, new format, new spirit--but holds onto what it does best, an open-hearted celebration of the tie that binds the festival community—a ferocious love for film, its makers, and supporters.

Filmmakers and film lovers join together to pay tribute to the best of the best with American Independent Competition Awards and Special Guest Tributes. This year Peg O’Keef co-hosts the Awards with the ILL Clan’s own Lenny and Larry Lumberjack, interactive animated characters. Yes, interactive AND animated—not to mention hilarious. Following the spirited awards, the Gala transforms into pure party—delicious food and drink, dancing to sensational sounds, and congratulations all around.

It takes a powerfully committed village to build a film festival. The Gala represents the village’s feast day with all the trimmings: ritual and revelry! Don’t miss the best festival tradition given new life.
