true adolescents.jpgAfter failing in the Seattle music scene, indie-slacker Sam Bryant (Mark Duplass) is kicked out of his apartment by his girlfriend and forced to move in with his "cul-de-sac suburban" aunt, Sharon (Melissa Leo, 2009 Best Actress Oscar Nominee for Frozen River). Crashing for free on her couch, Sam is then blackmailed into taking his problematic 14 year-old nephew, Oliver, on a hiking trip to the ocean. Sam discovers, the hard way, that camping could be fun if he didn't have his younger nephew and the boy's best friend tagging along. After one night, he also uncovers a secret the boys share, causing the three to get lost in the woods. Sam is now forced to take every possible measure to bring the kids safely back home. Mark Duplass (2004 FFF Grand Jury Award Scrabble, 2005 FFF The Puffy Chair, and the upcoming Sundance smash, Humpday) delivers his cocky signature style of acting to TRUE ADOLESCENTS, making the film a standout comedy with both heart and an indie edge.
