trucker.JPGAfter 11 years of neglecting her son Peter (Jimmy Bennett, 2009's Star Trek), Diane Ford's (Michelle Monaghan, Eagle Eye, Gone Baby Gone) independent life is about to head into a whirlwind. Diane's existence consists of 18-wheeler long hauls, all night bar benders, and the occasional one night stand. This "free to choose" habit changes when Peter tags along for the ride because his father and Diane's ex-husband Len (Benjamin Bratt, TV's Law & Order, Traffic) is in the hospital, seriously ill. If Diane thinks she can take her son with her on these long road trips or pass him off to her flirtatious best friend Runner (Nathan Fillion, Waitress, Serenity), Peter reminds her she is sadly mistaken. Monaghan delivers her role with a staggering authenticity, while Bennett's hard-nosed performance matches hers flawlessly. Her Oscar-worthy turn in this superbly crafted, gritty, and disquieting family drama will have you in it for the long haul.
