Matt (Dallas Roberts, 3:10 to Yuma) is a good guy with a couple of little compulsions. He's compulsively driven to market his whimsical inventions, such as the animated "Dreaming Dog" and the "Lucky Lottery" watches, perfect swag for the QVC crowd--if he could only reach them. He stays (almost) a half-step ahead of a soul-deadening 9-to-5 world, but for all his efforts, the dream is always just beyond reach. Matt's other compulsion is gambling. Egged on by wiseass BFF and business partner Sam (Jeremy Renner, 28 Weeks Later) Matt is willing to risk everything, including the love of his life, Gina, (Ayelet Zurer, Munich) for another jackpot--one of the Vegas variety. LIGHTBULB is a genuine American-dream story, the tale of a flawed but hard-working underdog who just wants to be his own man and who knows that, when it comes to million dollar ideas, "all it takes is one." Will his last gamble on himself pay off?
